Easter, also called Pascha* or Paşti (in Romanian) is one of the most important yearly Christian celebrations that celebrates the fundamental event of Christianity, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, on the third day after His crucifixion on Great Friday. Easter date is based on two astronomical phenomena: the spring equinox and the rotation of the moon round the Earth. Therefore, Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the spring equinox.
